Photo Retouching FAQ's
Welcome to my FAQ page! Here, you'll find answers to most of the questions you may have. We aim to provide clear and concise information to help you navigate our services easily. If you can't find what you're looking for, feel free to reach out!
1. Where can I find your price list?
Once I find out more about your specific needs, I will give you a custom rate. Photo editing is not always a one-size-fits-all situation, so I work with all of my clients to create the experience that best fits their business needs.
2. What are your turn-around times?
All portrait/boudoir/maternity sessions requiring Photoshop retouching (under 20 images) will be completed and back to you within 7-14 business days, Lightroom and color editing within 5-7 business days unless otherwise discussed with you. These turn around times do change once I become more familiar with your work and aesthetic.
3. Do I need to supply ALL of my sessions to you if we partner?
Nope! You can send me just a portion of your sessions, or all of them. There’s no minimum or maximum amount of galleries required for my clients. Plus, if at any point in the year you’d like to take a little break for a few weeks and then pick back up again when you’re busier, you are absolutely welcome to do so!
4. What types of sessions are you willing to edit?
At this time I am accepting Boudoir, Maternity, Portrait and Branding sessions as well as LRC/ACR Color editing for all sessions! Preference is given to photographers who hope to work with me consistently throughout the year, but I also work with photographers who want to outsource editing for only a few months at a time.
6. Does my photography style have to match my editor’s photography style?
Not at all! Since I will be matching your images to your own anchor edits (LRC) or hero shots (PS), I’m able to edit for any type of style. Please feel free to get in touch should you have any questions about style matching. I do offer a test edit as it is the best way to determine if I will be a good fit for you. To get an idea of my editing skill level, all the images you see on my site were edited by me.
7. Do I need to use Lightroom to outsource to you?
No! I am proficient in ACR and Adobe Photoshop. It all depends on your workflow! For larger galleries not requiring photoshop work, Lightroom is preferred as using smart previews to send galleries back and forth is the most efficient way to work. Please note you also need to be using the most updated version of Lightroom Classic or Adobe Photoshop.
8. What kind of editing adjustments do you do?
Outsourcing to me will include either Photoshop retouching or Lightroom adjustments or both. I’ll match your images to your anchors, guides or hero images. This way, you’ll receive galleries back that are either completely ready for delivery, or ready for you to put your final touches on them and then deliver.
9. Do I need a Dropbox account to work with you?
Yes! Although everything is done through my own account, Dropbox now requires that all shared folders users have their own account. You will read more about this in the file delivery guide I provide should you decide to book my services
10. If I decide to outsource to you, am I locked into a contract for a certain amount of time?
Nope! The contract you receive is simply to outline expectations and policies, and set us up for a positive working partnership. While my goal with every editing client is to foster a long-term working relationship, if at any time you feel like I am not the best fit for you, or you are no longer in a position to outsource, you can end our contract by written notice, no strings attached.
